Behind Niwaala
On Roosevelt Road in Lombard, Niwaala was created to reinvent street food through bold Indian fusion flavors. We take familiar favorites like tacos, wraps, subs, and chaat, then give them a uniquely South Asian twist using premium halal ingredients, house-made sauces, and spices ground in-house. The result is a menu that's approachable, unexpected, and unmistakably Niwaala.
Where the menu breaks the rules
We don't believe great food has to fit into one category. Butter Chicken finds its way into tacos. Shawarma gets a tandoori twist. Chapli becomes a sub. By reimagining familiar favorites with bold South Asian flavors, we've created a menu that's uniquely Niwaala.
Why it tastes different
Great food starts with great ingredients. We use premium halal meats, prepare our sauces in-house, grind our own spices, and build every recipe from scratch. It takes more time, but it's the reason every bite tastes unmistakably Niwaala.
