Niwaala Streetfood was born from a shared passion for food and a mission to bring fusion flavors to the world in a way that feels familiar yet exciting. Founded by three friends who saw a gap in how global flavors were introduced to the American market, we set out to create something truly unique—blending the best of South Asian, Middle Eastern, Mexican, and American influences into street food that speaks to every palate.
Our journey started with a simple but powerful idea: food should be fresh, bold, and made with real ingredients. Every sauce, from our garlic mayo to our chili lime, is made from scratch—no preservatives, no shortcuts. All of our meats are sourced zabihah halal and are never frozen. Even our buns come from local bakeries in the Chicagoland area because we believe in supporting our community while delivering the best quality possible.
At Niwaala, we’re not just about food—we’re about storytelling through flavors. Our menu is filled with dishes that represent a fusion of cultures, like our Tandoori Shawarma, which brings Indian/Pakistani spices to an Arab-style wrap using a Mexican tortilla, or our Makhni Beef Marinara Sub, which reimagines a meatball sub with South Asian flavors. The Chopped Chapli Sub and Not So Niwaala Burrito (a gyro cheeseburger with a spicy chipotle mayo) are personal favorites, showcasing our commitment to constant innovation.

Our 3D street food mural captures the essence of global diversity, depicting people from different ethnic backgrounds enjoying food with the iconic cityscapes of London, New York, and Chicago in the background.
